Surface Preparation
Surface to be painted must be clean, dry and free of grease, dirt, dust, flaking paint and mildew. Dull glossy areas by sanding. Apply one or two coats of CS 169 Concepts Ultra Matte Finish after priming the surface as outlined below.
New Plaster, Gypsum Board: Prime with a full coat of CS 192 WALL PLUS, Waterborne Micronized Stabilizing Eco Primer or CS 570 THE PERFECT PRIMER Alkyd Multi-primer & sealer.
Masonry, Concrete, Bricks: Prime with CS 181 WALL PLUS, Waterborne – Alkali Resistant Primer or CS 182 WALL PLUS Solventborne, Waterproofing Stabilizing Primer.
Previously Painted Surfaces: If surface is sound, prime with CS 181 WALL PLUS, Waterborne – Alkali Resistant Primer. Fill nail holes and cracks and sand when dry. Patched surfaces should be spot-primed with CS 181 WALL PLUS, Waterborne – Alkali Resistant Primer. If previous coating is old porous lime, apply an overall coat of CS 182 WALL PLUS Solventborne, Waterproofing Stabilizing Primer.
New Wood: Prime surfaces with CS 023 THE PERFECT PRIMER All-Purpose Eco Primer or CS 570 THE PERFECT PRIMER Alkyd Multi Primer & Seal
