Surface Preparation
Surface to be painted must be free of all loose material such as flaking and peeling paint, dust, concrete salts and heavy chalk. The surface must be clean with all traces of grease, oil, and dirt removed. Remove loose material by scraping and sanding. Sand glossy surfaces to a dull finish. Apply two coats of CS 170 CONCEPTS 100% Acrylic Paint after priming as outlined below.
New Concrete and Plaster: Prime with CS 182 WALL PLUS Solventborne, Waterproofing Stabilizing Primer or CS 181 WALL PLUS Waterborne, Alkali-Resistant Primer, thinned according to label directions.
Unpainted and Weathered Concrete, Brick: Prime with one coat of CS 192 WALL PLUS Waterborne Micronized Stabilizing Eco Primer or CS 182 WALL PLUS Solventborne, Waterproofing Stabilizing Primer, thinned according to label directions.
Previously Painted Surfaces: Prime with CS 182 WALL PLUS Solventborne, Waterproofing Stabilizing Primer or CS 181 WALL PLUS Waterborne, Alkali-Resistant Primer.
Unpainted Wood: Prime with CS 023 THE PERFECT PRIMER All-Purpose Eco Primer or CS 570 THE PERFECT PRIMER Alkyd Multi-primer & sealer.
